A **Routing Number** (also known as an RTN or ABA routing number) is a nine-digit code that identifies your specific bank. Think of it as an address for your financial institution. You need this so the check printer knows which bank to link the checks to.
What is an Account Number?
Your **Account Number** is unique to you. It tells the bank exactly which account the funds should be withdrawn from. It is usually between 8 and 12 digits long and is located to the right of the routing number.
